The Metro goes to

Mozarts Plads

At Mozarts Plads you land directly in the heart of the old Sydhavn when you take the lifts and escalators up to the surface from the station. Here you can feel the local atmosphere that characterises the area. In the square itself, you'll often find children playing by the fountain and adults chatting over a cup of coffee. On the surrounding streets you'll find local shops, lovely cafés and cosy eateries. Not far from the station is Karens Minde Kulturhus, which annually hosts both small and large activities and events, and nearby you'll also find Børnenes Dyremark. Both are embraced by the green urban space Karens Minde Aksen, where the winding path and the beautiful, large trees invite you to stroll through the area. If you continue along the paths, you can continue all the way to Sydhavnstippen, where more beautiful nature awaits. Here you'll find sheep and alpacas roaming freely in the area, good views of the water and the opportunity to walk further into Valbyparken, which is an extension of Sydhavnstippen. At the station, artist Christian Schmidt-Rasmussen has contributed the huge mural that takes you on a journey while you wait. When you take a closer look at the abstract and local figures, you'll quickly find stories everywhere, and the work invites you to explore the entire station space.
