If you get off at Amager Strandpark station, you step out into one of Amager's old residential neighbourhoods with gardens and hedges. It's not far to the water, sand and the many different experiences you can find in Amager Strandpark.
The paved path is good for running and rollerblading, and at beach station 3 you'll find a diving centre. In the lagoon, the water is shallow and particularly suitable for small children, and further out in the lagoon you'll often see more serious swimmers wearing wetsuits.
The green grass area along Amager Strandvej is perfect for picnics and barbecues, and if you fancy a game of beach volleyball, that's also possible.
