The station is named after one of the two green nature areas Femøren and Tiøren, which are used for summer concerts or if the circus is in town.
On windy days, Femøren Station is a hit with surfers, as Amager Strandpark is only a few hundred metres away, where a surfing zone has been established around beach stations 4 and 5 for kite surfing and blokarts.
Close to the station you'll find Kastrup Fort, the remains of an old defence battery that today houses a restaurant and a playground.
