The Metro goes to

Islands Brygge

Between the popular summer harbour promenade Islands Brygge, the University of Copenhagen Amager, DR Byen and the northernmost part of Amager Fælled lies Islands Brygge Station. Students at the University of Copenhagen use the station all year round to get to and from their studies, and during the summer months the station is especially popular when Copenhageners want to go swimming and get hungry for ice cream. Also located close to the station are the cubic Bikuben and the circular Tietgenskollegium, both examples of the innovative, experimental architecture that has become part of the Copenhagen cityscape.
