1. Where in Copenhagen do you feel most at home?
“I definitely do that in Nørrebro. It was the first place I lived when I moved to Copenhagen in 2006. I especially love the area around Blågårdsplads. I hardly ever ventured outside that area—which was called the Black Square back then—and I always feel at home here.”

2. What place in the city do you always return to?
“Nørrebrogade. Everything on Nørrebrogade is incredibly close to my heart. I’ve always spent a lot of time there. Back in the day, it was at Understellet, these days, it’s more at Veranda Vin, and Kebabistan has been one of my go-to spots all these years.”

Kebabistan is one of Lærke's favorite places
3. What is your favorite experience in Copenhagen?
"People-watching. I love people-watching. I never look at my phone on the Copenhagen Metro because I’d rather watch people. I also like to buy a cup of coffee and sit down at Torvehallerne, at Højbro Plads or in the area around Sankt Nikolaj Kirke, where there are lots of people to watch, and I can remain relatively anonymous.
I’ve also spent a lot of time at Søndermarken, where I love to sit on a bench and knit."

Favorite Spot: Lærke loves to knit in Søndermarken
My guilty pleasure is all the expensive stores in Indre By. I’ve been collecting fashion magazines since I was very young, and I visited my first Chanel store when I was 12. I rarely buy anything, but I love just walking around and looking.

4. What secret spot in town is almost too good to share?
"There are practically no secret spots left in Copenhagen, but for me, it’s really the places that haven’t changed. Little pockets of time, like Kirstens Konditori in Brønshøj or Pastis on Gothersgade. I love to sit down there when I want to treat myself.
I really associate the best experiences in Copenhagen with eating. I love trying new places, but I also often go back to the same spots—where I order the same thing. For example, I love the pepper steak at Maison on Borgergade or having eggs Benedict or smørrebrød at Dyrehaven."

One of Lærke's favorites: Pepper steak at Maison
5. What is your most vivid memory of Copenhagen?
“It was definitely back when I was at Rigshospitalet and had just given birth to my first child. It was early in the morning, and I was lying there looking out the window as the sun rose over the Panum Institute. That’s when I really felt, ‘Now I live here.’ It was such an incredible feeling.”
6. Which metro station is most important to you?
"I'm the biggest Metro fan—I take the Metro everywhere. I really like the station Nørrebro. It has the Metro, the S-train on multiple levels, and the 5C bus, so you can get anywhere in the city from here. The station has a special international vibe, and it’s just a cool area—you walk up the stairs, and suddenly you’re right in the thick of things."

Lærke loves the international vibe at Nørrebro St.
