1. When does Copenhagen feel most like your city?
"When spontaneous encounters with friends happen. Like, for example, bumping into a friend by chance while I'm out shopping. It almost feels like living in a small town, and as if the city revolves strangely enough around me."
It's a bit of a guilty pleasure, but I love a tea bun with butter, and Riviera on Nansensgade makes an absolutely amazing one.

2. What place in the city do you always return to?
"Nationalmuseet. It’s my favorite museum in town. Maybe because I’ve been there so often—and maybe I’ve been there so often precisely because I love being there. It’s so big that it never feels overcrowded with tourists, and I enjoy exploring the history and the treasures that go along with it. I also think they’re good at reinventing themselves while still preserving what’s familiar."

3. What's your best tip for a unique experience in Copenhagen?
"I’m a huge musical theater fan and love to champion the experience of seeing music come to life through set design, acting, and dance. A lot has happened with the genre in Denmark over the past few years; I’ve noticed a more ambitious and daring approach, with newer and more ‘risky’ productions being brought to the country. It’s worth giving this otherwise somewhat maligned genre a chance. I was particularly thrilled by Next To Normal at Nørrebro Teater a few years ago and Sweeney Todd at the Opera—and now I’m looking forward to Hadestown at Østre Gasværk."

4. What hidden gem is almost too good to share?
"I love vintage and secondhand items, and the store Décor on Israels Plads isn’t just the country’s oldest vintage store—it’s a treasure trove of beautiful, historic clothing at fair prices. Among other things, I found my wedding shoes there. All my friends will hate me for revealing this, but it’s really worth a visit—if nothing else, just to have a small glass of port with the owner."
5. Which metro station is your favorite?
"For practical reasons: Nørreport and Copenhagen Airport, because I live right by Nørreport and travel often. It’s incredibly convenient, fast, and easy to get there and back home. I’m impatient and not a fan of travel time, but I think it’s nice to look out the windows when the Metro is above ground between Øresund and the airport, and to see kids playing train conductor up front."
