Copenhagen is currently showing its quirkier and more sinister side, where you can experience the city's dark past, visit a haunted hospital and walk through dark graveyards. That is, if you dare ...

Spooky maze of horror

When darkness falls on Halloween, Kulturstationen Vanløse is transformed into a spooky maze of horror. Step inside if you dare and help solve the mystery of the young people who are said to have disappeared without a trace...

From 31 October to 3 November, take the Metro to Vanløse, where the scary maze is just around the corner. The spooky experience is developed by Teater Pandora and supported by Vanløse Local Committee, the City of Copenhagen's Performing Arts Committee and Nordeafonden.

Halloween in Tivoli Gardens

In autumn, Tivoli transforms into a paradise for zombies, ghosts and monsters. Take the Metro to Copenhagen Central Station and sneak into the spooky autumn garden, where you can meet the restless souls in the Haunted Hospital under the slide.

If that sounds spooky enough, you can also take a stroll and enjoy the beautiful autumn colours in the garden with thousands of pumpkins and lots of spooky treats.

The Church Ship in Halloween attire

Kirkeskibet is Sydhavnen's temporary church on water, and for Halloween the church will be taken over by a terrifying collection of zombies, spiders, disembodied heads and skeletons. Take the Metro to Enghave Brygge and take part in the spookiness with a scary children's service, disgusting food and spooky creative workshops.

The road to the Church Ship also goes through Kulturholmen, which has been transformed into a dark and creepy graveyard. Dare you walk through to get down to the ship?

Skip the spookiness and enjoy a latte

If you're not into skeletons, spiders, spooks and horror, the Halloween season also offers warm and cosy experiences. Like a deliciously spiced Pumpkin Spice Latte.

If you take the Metro to Nørrebro, you just have to walk a little further down Nørrebrogade to find Waynes Coffee, which serves a really good one - topped with lots of whipped cream and cinnamon.
