What you wanted to read about in 2024: harbour baths, ice rinks and metro art

Posted: 7. januar 2025
We delved into this year's newsletters to see what you were most curious about in 2024. Here are the most popular experiences near the Metro - which are also great on a grey January day.

Take a dip in the harbour

Last summer we called for refreshing dips in the city's many beautiful harbour baths close to the Metro. And even though there's not much sun and heat at the moment, the harbour baths are still open if you're up for an ice-cold thrill.

However, lifeguard staffing is only available during the summer months.

Visit the Best of the City 2024

This autumn, Berlingske named the best experiences in Copenhagen for the 23rd time - from breakfast to architecture, outdoor experiences and coffee shops. If you take the M3 line, you can easily reach six of the nominees in one day.

Enjoy the tranquillity of the city's parks

Whatever the season, Copenhagen's beautiful parks are worth a visit - and you can take the Metro to most of them. For example, enjoy the tranquillity of Assistens Cemetery, explore history at Kastellet or follow in the footsteps of the king in Kongens Have.

Enjoy a winter day on ice skates

You loved our guide to the Christmas spirit at the city's ice rinks, and even though the festive magic has died down, there's still time to get out on the ice. Several of the city's ice rinks are open throughout the winter and you can take the Metro directly to them.

Experience art in Sydhavnen

With the expansion of the M4, Copenhagen not only got five new metro stations, but also five new spectacular works of art. The exuberant mural at Mozarts Plads received six hearts in Politiken and is definitely worth a metro ride if you haven't already been by.
