5 tips: What you can experience if you get off the Metro at Enghave Brygge
Tip. Before you head out to experience Enghave Brygge, explore Pernille With Madsen's glittering light works and abstract reliefs at the station.
Get a taste of Italy
If you dream of authentic Italian pasta, cheese, olive oil, salami, ice cream and wine, stop by the speciality grocer Supermarco. The store is Denmark's largest importer of Italian specialities and will quickly get your teeth watering.
As well as buying lots of goodies to take home, you can also grab a crispy panini and a cold Birra Amarcord in the cosy café.

Cast your line out
On Engholmene, rod fishing is allowed towards the canal, and there are many good spots where you can set up your rod and lure. The whole area is popular with anglers because the lock at Sydhavnen generates a strong current that attracts sea trout all year round. You can also catch mackerel, garfish and sculpin.
Whether you catch anything or not, it's a great way to unwind. Remember that angling requires a valid fishing licence, which you can easily buy online.

Copenhagen's smallest wine and beer bar
You can't help but be drawn to the beautiful white church-like building right next to the harbour on Engholmene. It's Anløbet, probably Copenhagen's smallest wine and beer bar, where you can sit and enjoy a glass directly by the water.
Built in 1923 and originally a pumping station for Copenhagen's water supply, this fine building is full of tales and tall tales that you can enjoy with your cold drink.

Take a mini cruise in the harbour
At Enghave Brygge you can hop on board the harbour bus and experience the city from the waterside.
The harbour bus sails from Engholmene all the way to Refshaleøen at the other end, stopping on both sides of the canal along the way. You can hop off on the way and experience the Black Diamond, drink a beer in Nyhavn or eat an ice cream at Islands Brygge.

Try the school's large playground
The school in Sydhavnen has won international awards for its beautiful architectural expression - and the outdoor areas match perfectly with a large playground where kids can climb, swing, slide and play all kinds of ball games.
There are also plenty of cosy nooks and crannies for parents who just want to sit quietly for a moment. The playground is open to everyone outside school opening hours.

Between the lines: “Right now, we're not living – we're surviving.”
Between the lines: Every day, thousands of people travel on the Metro, and behind every face there is a story. In Frederiksberg, we met Karina and 15-year-old Sigrid, who has fought hard to get where she is today.
