1. Yellow like Assistens

When traveling on the Cityringen, the colors of the stations change along the way, as each station reflects the cityscape above ground, making it easy to keep track of where you are on your journey.

Nørrebros Runddel is clad in yellowish brick, inspired by the area’s buildings and the yellow wall surrounding Assistens Cemetery.

2. Plenty of sunlight

This metro station is the only one with a single large skylight instead of several small ones, as is the case at other stations. 

When the sun is in the right position, light will therefore pour down on you as you stand in the station concourse at Nørrebros Runddel.

3. You'll find everything right here

Nørrebros Runddel is right in the heart of Nørrebro, and everything your heart desires is within easy reach. Here are three places you won't want to miss:

1. Assistens Kirkegård – When you emerge from the metro station, you’re already inside the cemetery, so it’s the perfect opportunity to take a stroll through the beautiful, historic surroundings. Assistens Cemetery has been a central part of Nørrebro since 1760 and is known as a cultural and historical gem in Copenhagen.

2. Jægersborggade – Just a few minutes' walk from the station is Jægersborggade, a small, charming street lined with specialty shops, galleries, arts and crafts stores, cafés, and restaurants.

3. Nørrebros Runddel – In fact, you don’t even need to go far, because Nørrebro’s Runddel is worth a visit in its own right. Here you’ll find, among other things, one of Nørrebro’s oldest pubs, Café Runddelen, which has been a local gathering place for more than 100 years.

4. 7,000 passengers per day

Nørrebros Runddel station is very busy. In 2025, 7,000 people boarded the Metro here every day.
