5 tips: What you can experience if you get off the Metro at Havneholmen
Street food on rails
On the old DSB railway site, the large wooden barns have been transformed into the most beautiful oasis. BaneGaarden offers sourdough bakery Perron, a summer restaurant in the old greenhouse and a host of street food stalls from all corners of the world: fish n' chips, Indian butter chicken, Tunisian couscous or sweet and savoury crepes.
The green oasis is surrounded by more than 1.5 hectares of wild nature with chickens, bees and blackberry bushes.

Get lost in the roof garden at IKEA
A short walk from Havneholmen, you'll find Copenhagen's new IKEA store, which has a fantastic roof garden at the top. Just take the elegant spiral staircase up, up, up and you'll find yourself in a beautiful garden with hundreds of trees and shrubs.
Sit on a bench and enjoy the view of the city's rooftops, the railways and not least the famous Cactus Towers. Access to the roof garden is free - even when IKEA is closed.

Jump into the harbour at Fisketorvet
Right next to the Fisketorvet shopping centre and just a five-minute walk from Havneholmen, you have a golden opportunity for a cold dip: Havnebadet Fisketorvet.
The pool offers three different pools to choose from: a 50-metre exercise pool, a diving pool with 1, 2 and 3 metre diving boards and a 70 cm deep children's pool. And you can safely dive into the waves, as the harbour bath has lifeguards on duty all summer long.

Fisketorvet is open every day from 10-20.

French, Nordic and Asian in one
Beautiful and flavoursome dishes, full-bodied wines, a roaring fire and a view of the canals. It sounds almost too good to be true, but it is: Restaurant Herkomst has opened its doors in the old warehouse from 1917, combining French, Nordic and Asian cuisine in the finest way.
The restaurant seats 115 guests and can also be booked for birthdays, weddings or corporate events.

Guide: Where to get exotic White Lotus vibes in Copenhagen
Season 3 of The White Lotus is set in a luxury hotel in Thailand, but you don't have to travel far to get the same feeling. Take the Metro to one of the city's beautiful spa hotels and enjoy the tranquillity for a day.

Get an authentic taste of Thailand close to the Metro
Mmm... pad thai, panang curry and satay. If Thai cuisine makes your teeth water, Copenhagen has plenty of places to eat where it almost feels like you're in Thailand itself.
