The La Glace sisters: "We will never move out of the city – Copenhagen has so much to offer."
Maria and Laura Stagetorn Kolos, aged 30 and 27, are the third generation to run Conditori La Glace, Denmark's oldest pastry shop, founded in 1870. They were both born and raised in Copenhagen and have lived exclusively in the city center.
"Copenhagen feels most like our city when joy and warmth spread throughout the city. A summer evening in Copenhagen, for example, is something very special. As soon as the first rays of sunshine hit Copenhagen, you can't find a single spot in the sun that isn't occupied. Everyone behaves as if they don't know when the sun will come out again, and this complete enjoyment of everyday life seems so unique to Copenhagen. Even if we've had a long day at work, we can always squeeze in a walk or a swim."
Noget helt unikt, som København kan, er at samle folk til begivenheder – store og små – og følelsen af at være sammen om noget og juble med folk, man ikke kender, er noget helt særligt.

"We generally always return to Copenhagen. We have both lived abroad for extended periods, but every time we travel, we realize how much we love living in Copenhagen. The city has the right size and atmosphere. You can get around everywhere without spending a lot of time on transportation, and you don't need a car. Children play in the streets and can find their way home from an early age. We will never move out of the city—Copenhagen has so much to offer."

"Something truly unique about Copenhagen is its ability to bring people together for events, both large and small. Whether it's the World Cup or a community dinner at Absalon, there's always something happening in Copenhagen. The feeling of being part of something and cheering with people you don't know is something very special."

"We are both very competitive people and luckily have friends who are into that too. That's why we sometimes go to Bip Bip Bar – a little gem in Nørrebro with good beer and lots of fun games."

5. Which metro station is your favorite?
"Kongens Nytorv is our favorite station. The large, beautiful square has a special atmosphere, and a trip (or 100) to the ice rink was a must in our childhood—and something we still do. All metro lines run through Kongens Nytorv, so while it is the most beautiful metro station, it is also the most practical."
