Streetart: Explore Copenhagen's unique street art
For many years, Valby Hallen was framed by dull gray concrete walls, but today the building bursts with color and life.
Seven different artists have decorated the exterior walls of the hall. One of them is the Danish artist Soten, who is known for his distinctive letterforms and funky color combinations, which at Valby Hallen have been transformed into an eye-catching work in pink and yellow.
Take the Metro to København Syd, where you can experience artist Henrik Plenge Jakobsen's astronomical clock at the station before taking the short walk to Valby Hallen.

In Northwest Copenhagen, a residential neighborhood has been transformed into a large outdoor street art museum that you can visit whenever you want. Take the Metro to Nørrebro and walk to Rentemestervej, where the experience begins.
A number of foreign and Danish artists, such as HuskMitNavn, Peter Birk, and Mikael B, have decorated 16 building facades with colorful murals.
The project was inspired by Berlin and Miami, where run-down neighborhoods such as Schöneberg and Wynwood have been successfully transformed into exciting art meccas.

Gables in the Northwest
In Vesterbro you'll find a little piece of Southern Jutland. On the gable of a house, South Jutland star photographer Søren Solkær has created a giant painting depicting the natural phenomenon of the black sun, where large flocks of stars take on graphic formations in the sky - which on the gable has become a big heart.
The artwork is a gift from the cultural history organization Golden Days in connection with the 100th anniversary of the reunification of Southern Jutland with Denmark.
Take the Metro to Enghave Plads and you're almost there.

In Nørrebro, great experiences also await at street level. The engineering firm Bang & Beenfeldt chose to mark their 50th anniversary with a gift to the city: a new gable mural at the intersection of Hillerødgade and Nørrebrogade.
If you take the Metro to Nørrebro, it's only a short walk before the work created by artist Simon Sebastian lights up the otherwise chalk-white house gable. He wanted to create a dynamic work that uses light and dark shades to enter into a dialog with the surrounding urban life.
