1. When does Copenhagen feel most like your city?
"When I moved to Copenhagen in my early 20s, I moved to Vesterbro, so Vesterbro will always have a special place in my heart. Today, I live in Valby, right on the border with Sydhavnen, and when I cycle home from the store in the city center, through Vesterbro and out of Enghavevej, I feel so grateful and happy to live right here."
Sydhavnen still has something special about it, which is really nice. It's located right on the edge of the city and has its own unique spirit.
2. Which place in the city do you always return to?
"Tippen out in Sydhavnen. We used to go there a lot when my children were small, and now it has become a little better known, but it is still a really lovely place to relax. It's fantastic that we can live in the city and have such a place with green nature, goats, and alpacas just five minutes away by bike. And then there's the paradox, which I also love, that it's actually located on top of an old landfill."

3. What hidden gem in the city is almost too good to share?
"I love Valby, where I live, but Sydhavnen has something very special about it, which is really nice. It's right on the edge of the city and has its own unique spirit. I especially think that the farm out by Karens Minde is a magical place. There's a small forest on the road that's so beautiful and magical. In a way, it's its own little world out there, which has managed to take care of itself, even though the city has moved closer."

"The area around Karens Minde is magical"
With My Copenhagen, we take you on a surprising journey through the city, where well-known Copenhageners and local legends share their hidden gems.
4. What is your best tip for a feminist experience in Copenhagen?
"I have worked with gender equality for many years, including at Dansk Kvindesamfund (Danish Women's Society) and KVINFO, and have helped organize countless March 8 events and debates over the years. At one point, I started making critical decorations as a way to vent my frustration with the world, and in 2021, I moved into the premises on Kompagnistræde.
My best tip is therefore my own shop, Kritisk Pynt. Here, it's March 8 all year round, and if you need to vent some frustrations, come down and see me. I have plenty of everyday feminism, so take a look, laugh at the mugs and decorations, and feel a little better about yourself."
5. Which metro station is your favorite?
“I've always cycled around Copenhagen, but if I had to pick one metro station, it would be København Syd, because it's the closest to me.”
