Make the most of Culture Night with the Metro
Meet the Metro at Rådhuspladsen
On Culture Night, you can meet the Metro at Rådhuspladsen from 18:00-22:00. The Metro wagon has colouring books, folding trains, flags and pastilles for children and kids - and you can get answers to all your questions about the Metro. Will we see you there?
When darkness falls over Copenhagen on Friday 11 October, it's the start of a magical evening where you can go on an adventure in every neighbourhood of the city.
More than 230 museums, theatres, churches, libraries and castles will host imaginative cultural events that you can't experience at any other time.
All you need to take part in Culture Night is a Culture Pass. It costs DKK 125 and gives you access to all events in the programme as well as free transport by bus, train and Metro all evening - and night.

Win free tickets and get a free keyring
On Culture Night, you can also meet the Metroselskabet at two different Metro stations - Kongens Nytorv and Copenhagen Central Station - where you can quiz and win free Metro tickets. Everyone who participates will receive a free Metro keychain.
Drive straight to prison
What really goes on behind the high prison walls? If you take the Metro to Kongens Nytorv, you can visit Nytorv Prison and get a unique insight into life behind the walls.
You can experience drug-sniffing dogs in action, try an ankle bracelet and get the feeling of being in prison with VR glasses. You can also take a journey through prison history, see escape tools, smuggled objects and - if you dare - the largest serial killer in Danish history, Dagmar Overby's cell in the basement of the prison.

Evening dip in the swimming pool
On Culture Night, you can have a very special Zen experience at Frederiksberg Swimming Centre. This evening, the lights in the swimming pool will be switched off, small candles will be lit along the pools, and calm music will play.
Take the Metro to Aksel Møllers Have and the swimming pool is just around the corner. The 25-metre hall and the family hall are open, but if you don't want to swim, you are also welcome to just enjoy the atmosphere and architecture from the balcony.

Crazy knitwear and bad ass embroidery
Right next to Frederiksberg metro station is Frederiksberg Library, which on Culture Night is all about creativity.
Knitting icon Lærke Bagger shares tips and tricks, embroiderer Trine Runge Jessen tells tall tales and A Mess plays a mini concert, while throughout the evening there are creative workshops for everyone with paper, knitting, winding and printing on cups.
You can bring your own crafts or buy special knitting and embroidery kits on the night.

Swing your hips to happy music
Do you love to dance? On Culture Night you can try the two couple dances Bachata and West Coast Swing, which will make you smile and sweat.
The dance-loving rhythms will be playing in BLOX - not far from Gammel Strand metro station - where instructors from Dancemania and West Coast Swing Copenhagen will lead the way. Grab your best dancing friend or come alone and you'll have a partner to swing you around the floor.

Sing halleluja
Experience the energy, the warmth and the wonderful message wrapped in glorious tones and rhythms when Jerusalem Church opens its doors to gospel music at full blast.
If you get off the Metro at Østerport, it's just a short walk to the church, where you can experience a gospel concert with Revelation Gospel Choir and a gospel service with the gospel choir Kefas and Pastor Ole Birch.

Guide: Where to get exotic White Lotus vibes in Copenhagen
Season 3 of The White Lotus is set in a luxury hotel in Thailand, but you don't have to travel far to get the same feeling. Take the Metro to one of the city's beautiful spa hotels and enjoy the tranquillity for a day.

Get an authentic taste of Thailand close to the Metro
Mmm... pad thai, panang curry and satay. If Thai cuisine makes your teeth water, Copenhagen has plenty of places to eat where it almost feels like you're in Thailand itself.
