KIKI CLUB: "The pool at Manon Les Suites is Copenhagen's biggest hidden gem."
KIKI CLUB consists of singer and songwriter Ida Corr, 48, and DJ and producer Nicolai Achton, 39, who are currently promoting their album The Only Way Out Is In. They are also a couple in private and live together in Dragør.
1. When does Copenhagen feel most like your city?
NICOLAI: “It's when I'm riding my bike—Copenhagen should just be experienced by bike. I moved to Frederiksberg from Taastrup when I was 18, and the first time I felt like I was part of the city was when I bought a bike. That's when I felt like now I really lived here.”
IDA: “I've never been a fan of cycling. For me, Copenhagen in the summer is the most amazing thing. It's spontaneous encounters, lots of people outside, and sitting in the sun with good friends.”
Copenhagen is spoiled for choice when it comes to restaurants and nightclubs, but at Søpavillonen you get it all in one place – and it's all done with love and soul.
2. Which place in the city do you always return to?
IDA: “We all agreed on this one: Shawarma No. 1 on Strøget is the place we always return to. I love the chili and the meat—and the balance between the different ingredients.”
NICOLAI: “Yes, it's a fantastic place. They also have one of those old-school orange juicers—it's like being on vacation in your own city.”

3. What hidden gem in the city is almost too good to share?
IDA: "The pool at Manon Les Suites is a real hidden gem—it's Bali in Copenhagen. They are so talented at interior design, so the place has just the right jungle vibes with hanging plants, wooden figures, and wicker furniture. Our own style is also very Moroccan with authentic rugs, light, and warmth, so it suits us perfectly."

With My Copenhagen, we take you on a surprising journey through the city, where famous Copenhageners and local legends share their hidden gems.
4. What is your best tip for a unique experience in Copenhagen?
NICOLAI: "If I had to recommend one place, it would be Søpavillonen—it's amazing how much culture, atmosphere, and cool experiences they've managed to pack into one nightclub. Copenhagen is quite spoiled with restaurants and nightclubs, but at Søpavillonen you get it all in one place – and there's a lot of love and soul put into it.“
IDA: ”Yes, it's a restaurant, nightclub, jazz venue, talk show, event space, and chess club. It's a multi-purpose cultural venue – it's pretty cool."
5. Which Metro station is your favorite?
IDA: “I would like to say Copenhagen Airport, because it is simply the ultimate symbol of freedom.”
NICOLAI: "Yes, but otherwise it would be Kongens Nytorv, because all roads lead to Kongens Nytorv. When you stand there, you get the feeling that you can go anywhere, and it's just elegant and beautiful. Kongens Nytorv gives me a feeling of freedom. Bicycles have always been freedom to me, but now the Metro has gradually become the new bicycle, where you can quickly get from Gammel Strand to Nørrebro or Frederiksberg."
