If it's pouring rain, you can take shelter in an old-fashioned tram at Gråbrødretorv – not far from Gammel Strand. Here, the burger bar Sporvejen has transformed an old tram from line 14 into an atmospheric eatery.
Take a seat in one of the cozy booths named after historic stations such as Toftegårds Plads or Kammasvej and feast on delicious, homemade burgers and omelets while sheltering from the rain.

Fortunately, flea markets are not only held outdoors. Enjoy the dry weather at the cozy secondhand shop LeLop in Ørestad. Here you can hunt for bargains at more than 250 stalls, where private sellers offer everything from clothing and interior design to toys and children's items.
If you take the Metro to Vestamager, it's only a short walk to flea market heaven, which is updated with new items every day.
It's not much fun standing out in the rain, but it's really cool to stand in the dry and watch the rain. And you might as well do that from one of the tallest buildings in Copenhagen: Rådhustårnet – just a few meters from the Metro at Rådhuspladsen.
There are approximately 300 steps up to the City Hall Tower's viewing platform, where you can enjoy the unique view of Tivoli and the rest of the city center – without getting wet. Tickets cost DKK 60.

Going to the cinema is always enjoyable – and even more so when it's pouring rain outside. Copenhagen has cinemas to suit every taste, whether you're into French art films or big Hollywood blockbusters.
Take the Metro to Enghave Plads and try the city's new cinema, Reservoir, which combines the movie experience with delicious drinks, food, and snacks that you can enjoy in the soft seats.
