Ballet usually takes place on the boards, but this summer you can get a whole new ballet experience in a small hidden courtyard behind Frederiksberg City Hall - close to Frederiksberg.
On Saturday 2 August, Verdensballetten presents dancers from some of the world's finest ballet companies, international opera singers and classical musicians, who together create a seamless experience with nature as a backdrop.

If you dream of getting a festival atmosphere under your skin, Byhaven is your go-to oasis in the centre of Copenhagen - close to Rådhuspladsen.
Throughout the summer, the small outdoor venue hosts a series of concerts with Danish upcoming music and rising foreign stars. And admission is always free.
The city garden opens at 15:00 and the shows start at 19:00, so you can enjoy microbrews, natural wines and cocktails at the bar or quench your hunger with Greek gyros from Yeerro before the music takes over. See the programme.

Take your film experiences to new heights in Himmelbioen on the roof of Cinemateket - just a few minutes walk from Nørreport.
Here you can sit back in the soft seats and enjoy international film gems and Danish classics on the large LED screen while enjoying the view of the Copenhagen rooftops.
The cinema seats 127 guests and you can see the full programme here. If you're curious about the concept, there is a free walk-in cinema during the daytime on weekdays where you can watch quirky Danish short films.
Watch films in the open air
You don't have to be a football fan to spend a great day at Valby Station where you can follow one of Copenhagen's oldest football clubs, BK Frem - not far from Mozarts Plads.
Frem's first team plays in the 2nd division, and when they play home games the atmosphere is very special. Take a trip to the stadium on a Saturday afternoon and feel the sense of community as the fans cheer the red and blue to victory. Find out when BK FREM play their next home game.
Five minutes from Marmorkirken you can experience Grønnegård Theatre's summer performance in the garden behind Odd Fellow Palæet.
This year, the theatre presents one of the great classics of world drama: Molière's comedy, Den Indbildt Syge, starring Olaf Johannessen and Ann Eleonora Jørgensen. If you arrive early, you can enjoy a cosy picnic in the garden before the performance starts.
Den Indbildt Syge will be performed throughout the summer from 26 June to 24 August.
