Leckerbaer
Can cake be art? If you stop by the dessert shop Leckerbaer in Østerbro, the answer is yes. Here, husband and wife Jakob and Gabi Bär Mogensen have been conjuring up little masterpieces since they opened in 2014.
They are both trained chefs with Michelin stars under their belts, but have devoted all their love to creating small, delicate cakes and tarts in miniature format.
Leckerbaer is just a short walk from the Metro station at Trianglen, so what are you waiting for? Go ahead and treat your sweet tooth to little bites of heaven.

Cakery Copenhagen
If your sweet tooth is craving French temptations, just take the Metro to Marmorkirken. Not far from here, you will find the small eclair shop Cakery Copenhagen.
The freshly made éclairs are little masterpieces in themselves, decorated with the finest colorful toppings. Try, for example, their Classic Éclair, which is filled with vanilla cream and topped with milk chocolate, or their Lemon & Marinque with tart lemon cream and meringue on top.
If you can't decide, you can get a whole box of different mini éclairs.

Jato Bakery
Jato Bakery is located just off Amagerbrogade. If you take the Metro to Femøren, it's only a short walk away – and definitely worth the trip.
In addition to being an organic sourdough bakery filled with sourdough bread, croissants, and cardamom rolls, Jato Bakery also offers a small selection of pastries that are sure to knock your socks off.
For example, their pâte à choux with white chocolate mousse, sea buckthorn, and gooseberries or beautiful carnival buns have been a small ray of light in the winter darkness.

Dillon
Dillon is one of Copenhagen's most exciting new bakeries. However, it didn't start with bread at all, but with Italian gelato, which had Copenhageners queuing up far down the street. Now they have expanded with a small selection of homemade cakes.
Behind Dillon are Italian-born couple Angela Carlone and Nicolas Sgobba, who, in addition to brownies, cinnamon rolls, and cookies, have also added one of their homeland's specialties to the menu: Pistachio Maritozzo, a sweet brioche bun filled with pistachio cream.
Take the Metro to Vibenshus Runddel, and you're almost there.

Riviera
Dillon isn't the only little Italian gem in town. In Nansensgade - right by Nørreport - you'll find the bakery Riviera, run by Italian chef and baker Chiara Barla.
Here you can enjoy a wealth of classic baked goods with a touch of Italy, such as an interpretation of the good old Spandauer with vanilla cream.
