Get an authentic taste of Thailand close to the Metro

Mmm... pad thai, panang curry and satay. If Thai cuisine makes your teeth water, Copenhagen has plenty of places to eat where it almost feels like you're in Thailand itself.

Kiin Kiin

It's a far cry from the Thai street kitchens when you sit down at the exclusive Kiin Kiin in Nørrebro. Here you can enjoy a gourmet version of local Thai dishes in beautiful surroundings - close to Nørrebros Runddel.

Did you know that Kiin Kiin is named after what Thai mothers shout when they call their children home to eat: ‘Kiin, kiin!’ The restaurant is one of the few Thai restaurants in the world to be awarded a Michelin star.

Wokshop

Wokshop is a must when you're in the mood for a delicious Thai meal. They have six restaurants all over Copenhagen. For example, visit the cosy eatery in Frederiksberg - a short walk from the Metro on Frederiksberg Allé.

Wokshop has a special sub-menu, Lotus Experience, with 11 servings that celebrate Thai cuisine's harmonious balance of sweet, sour, salty, umami and spicy.

Satang Thai Bistro

The love of Thailand shines through at Satang Thai Bistro, where Thai couple Suppi and Niran have created an authentic little piece of Thailand in the centre of Åboulevard.

Get off the Metro at the Forum and it's just a short walk to the little bistro where you can be served freshly prepared Thai specialities as mild or spicy as you like. Complete your meal with an exciting Thai cocktail like Lychee Unchan.

Khun Juk Oriental

Well hidden between the half-timbered walls in a backyard in Nyhavn, you'll find the small Thai oasis Khun Juk. Just take the Metro to Kongens Nytorv and you're almost there.

Khun Juk has won an award as Denmark's most authentic Thai restaurant, and when you see the menu, it will be hard to choose which of the exciting dishes to try. Be sure to save room for dessert, a Thai coconut pancake with caramel sauce, homemade coconut ice cream and fresh tropical fruits.

Iron Wok

If you'd rather enjoy a taste of Thailand from the comfort of your own sofa, take the Metro to Trianglen and drop by Iron Wok.

The people behind it have taken the best flavours from the street kitchens of their homeland and created a menu full of classics and new interpretations of authentic Thai cuisine. Try one of their specialities: Phat Kapow with spicy basil and fried egg.
