From August 28-31, the CHART art fair brings art into the public space in Copenhagen, and you can experience it all with the Metro - which itself is the setting for several unique art experiences.

Make the most of CHART with Metro's 1-day ticket, where you can travel freely on the Metro all day on Saturday and Sunday for just DKK 50. Buy the ticket in the Rejsebillet app

When the Nordic region's leading art fair CHART takes over Copenhagen August 28-31, 2025, the theme is Art in Public Space.

With the Metro, you can quickly get to all the amazing works of art in the cityscape, and the Metro also plays a role as an art scene in its own right. Take a look at what you can experience here.

2 meter long plastic arm and opera singing

The metro station at Kongens Nytorv is the setting for part of the 40-minute art performance I AM EXTREME by the Swedish artist duo LILITH - an experience that involves a two meter long plastic arm and an opera singer.

In this work, the duo will carry an oversized arm while performing ritual tributes to the body's variations and imperfections.

    You can experience I AM EKSTREME on August 29 at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. and on August 31 at 1 p.m.

Wild video artworks at the stations

As soon as you step onto the platform at the metro stations, you can experience a series of inspiring video works produced by four international artists: Elina Brotherus, Janaina Tschäpe, Heino Aho and Valentin Ranger.

You can look forward to entering the world of Finnish video artist Elina Brotherus. She is one of the most recognized contemporary artists from Scandinavia.

The video works will run throughout the art fair.

CHART also invites you to experience art in urban space with various walking, running and cycling routes that take you past iconic works in the cityscape and at metro stations such as Tal R's mural at Østerbro St. or Jeppe Hein's balloons at Kongens Nytorv.
