Drive the route of the Folkecykelløbet bike race yourself

Kick off a great day of cycling by swinging yourself into the saddle. On Saturday 21st, from 11am to 2pm, you can cycle the 11 kilometre route through a car-free Copenhagen.

The Folkecykelløbet starts at 11:00 a.m. from Statens Museum for Kunst, but you can hop on and off the route at eight different locations, so you can decide for yourself where to start and finish.

Avoid the biggest crowds by taking the Metro to Nørrebros Runddel and hop on the route at Fensmarksgade, or get off at Marmorkirken and hop on the route at Store Kongensgade.

Experience the Champs-Élysées curve at Rådhuspladsen

Both Saturday and Sunday, Rådhuspladsen is a great place to settle down with friends and family - and the Metro takes you directly there.

Here, you have an excellent view of the cyclists as they come racing from Statens Museum for Kunst and have to make a sharp U-turn before continuing their journey through Nørrebro.

In addition, Rådhuspladsen also provides the setting for an exclusive Bicycle Expo featuring the latest trends, technology and gear that make cycling even more fun and inspiring.

Festive cheering zones in Nørrebro

When the cyclists hit Copenhagen, there will be special cheering zones at Nørrebros Runddel and Sankt Hans Torv, where the cycling party will be turned up a notch.

Look forward to lots of music, outdoor dining and plenty of activities and workshops. You can learn how to make street art, practice acroyoga and try your hand at panna football, street basketball and street dance.

The cheer zones are open from 11am-5pm on Saturday and 11am-4pm on Sunday, and you can easily get there by taking the Metro to Nørrebros Runddel.

Take part in the bike festival
