Every day thousands of people travel on the Metro, and behind every face is a story. Between the lines, these stories unfold in a series of short portraits.
Lilli has always been indifferent to what others think.
However, it took a long time before I dared to dress the way I wanted. I had social anxiety and hardly dared to leave the house.
But then something changed inside me. My little brother also has a distinctive style. He wears a tie every day.
Both my parents and Lilli's parents think it's cool that we wear what we want, and they support us.
Sometimes we get called “whores” or “emo whores” when we walk down the street. It's mostly boys our own age.
The vast majority are nice. It's nice to walk together so we can laugh about it afterwards if someone acts weird.
Lilli has helped me think less about what other people think, and I've probably helped her think a little more about some other things.
We've always had each other.
