Be my Valentine: 6 cool places to go on a date in Copenhagen

Are you tired of coffee, walks around the lakes, or trips to the cinema? We have put together a handful of exciting and cozy places to take your loved one – close to the Metro.

Go camping

In Kødbyen and Boltens Gård, there is a type of camping that is perfect for a date. At Camping, you can challenge each other to a game of mini golf while enjoying a cold beer – a truly excellent combination.

The mini golf courses offer 14-16 different holes, and you do not need to book in advance. If you get hungry after swinging your clubs, you can grab a burger at the bar afterwards.

Take the Metro to Copenhagen Central Station and stroll down towards Kødbyen – or get off at Kongens Nytorv and find Boltens Gård.

Say it with cake

Is there a sweeter way to show your love than with a delicious treat? Most people have already eaten their way through the city's carnival buns, so now it's time for something new.

Fortunately, Lagkagehuset has created three romantic Valentine's Day cakes that are perfect for a little cake tasting, as a dessert for your homemade dinner, or simply as a little surprise delivered to your door.

Take the Metro to your nearest Lagkagehus.

Treat each other to a Turkish bath

Take the Metro to Christianshavn, where Sofiebadet awaits just around the corner with their signature treatment: the sensual hammam bath – which can be booked as a couples experience.

Here you lie side by side, first enveloped in soft soap foam, then skilled therapists scrub dead skin cells from your body with a coarse kese glove combined with experienced massage pressure.

Look forward to sharing a unique experience that will leave you feeling completely at ease.

Grab a game of shuffleboard

It can be very romantic to sit and talk and gaze deeply into each other's eyes, but sometimes it's just more fun to do something fun together.

At the cocktail bar Dahl & Dahl—just around the corner from the Metro station at Marmorkirken—you can try your hand at a game of shuffleboard: a really fun game, somewhat reminiscent of curling, that everyone can join in.

Remember to book a table if you want to be sure of getting a seat.

See the lights twinkle in the city

Right now, the Copenhagen Light Festival is turning the city's cold winter darkness into a bright celebration of colors, shapes, and designs that you can explore with your special someone.

The light festival has a total of 45 light installations that are lit up from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. every day. In addition, the Metro has also created its own light installation, Closer, which sends light signals into the sky from all 17 stations on the M3 line.

Take the Metro to Gammel Strand and start your experience with the amazing light installation at Christiansborg. With the special light festival ticket, you can travel freely on the Metro all evening and see everything.

Go speed dating

If you don't have a Valentine's Day date, you can instead throw yourself headlong into the dating scene at Proud Mary Pub. On Valentine's Day, they invite you to Mary's Speed Dating from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Take the Metro to Rådhuspladsen and get ready to put your flirting skills to the test. You must purchase a ticket in advance, and there are three different age groups to choose from.

Good luck!
