The Metro goes to
Copenhagen's largest square, Rådhuspladsen
Take The Metro directly to one of Copenhagen's largest and most prominent squares. The station is of course right next to Copenhagen City Hall, which is also where Copenhagen's main artery, Strøget, begins with shops as far as the eye can see.
Rådhuspladsen is also the gathering place when the great Danish sporting achievements are honoured and when Danes gather to ring in the New Year at midnight.
Rådhuspladsen has many different expressions depending on the time of day. In the morning it is quiet and calm, during the afternoon it is mainly visited by tourists, and in the evening it attracts young people from Copenhagen's city life.
Underground, the walls are covered with sparkling dark glass to reflect the colourful life of the city, neon lights at night, car headlights in the wet asphalt and neon signs on the roofs. It is in the evening that Rådhuspladsen comes into its own.
