Noisy work activities

Posted: 25. marts 2025Reading time: 5 min.
We regularly carry out track work during the evening and night hours. We do this to ensure that the Metro is safe and stable to travel on. The work is carried out in the evening and night hours to minimise disruption to Metro passengers. We always endeavour to carry out the work tasks with the least possible noise disturbance.

We endeavour to carry out the noisy tasks with as little inconvenience as possible, but apologise for any inconvenience the work may still cause.

Noisy work will be carried out during evening and night periods, as shown in the table below.

The work will be carried out on Metro lines M1 and M2 as part of the planned maintenance to comply with legal requirements regarding the Metro's railway and operational safety. For the benefit of Metro passengers, the work is carried out during night hours, where the related disruptions are minimised.

About noise disturbance

Noise disturbance may occur as the work involves vegetation removal and is carried out with electric and/or petrol brushcutters.

Metro Service naturally endeavours to carry out the tasks with the lowest possible noise impact. It is therefore regretted that noise nuisance may still occur, as the current work tasks include:

  • Repairing tiles and grout.

For information, work vehicles may pass between ‘Work areas’ and the Metro's maintenance centre at Vestamager Station. These passages will only exceptionally give rise to noise nuisance.
